This classic Klaus Schulze-album was originally released in 1978 and is along with 'Mirage' the first vinyl-release of Schulze on Revisited.
Parallel to his first German tour in October 1978, Klaus Schulze's 10th album was released.
Six musical biographies take place on 4 LP-sides.
On those 6 tracks that were dedicated to Nietzsche, Trakl, Herbert, Bach, Kleist and Ludwig II., Schulze made clear that he is the master of synthesizer and everybody has to count him to the top of the avantgarde league of German rock music.
The German magazine Sounds counted Schulze second after Michael Rother, in the list of the most popular German musicians.
For many fans 'X' is his most important works of the seventies.
